Its official one of our girls has started to lay :-) I couldn't believe my eyes when I found a tiny egg in the nesting box 5 days ago - it was so so exciting!! Now I've become obsessed in egg collection. She was a mid-day layer but now has settled into laying one every morning :-) we are so proud!!
Guess which one is ours hehehe

It's so exciting isn't it! We've just had our first two green eggs which are super exciting to find!
It never gets boring checking for eggs!
I love it ... we've had just over 2,000 eggs in the last year and it's lots of fun.
Just you wait till you get more eggs laid in one day than you have chooks ... work that one out ;)

Hi DJEB yes I put the chickens to work in the garden :-) I have a nifty setup, I rotate them on 4-6 beds over a 6week period, and that gives the pea and alfalfa time to sprout ready for them to gobble up.
